How to Have a Money Making Blog!

Do you want to have a money making blog? Who doesn't? All you need to do is go to Blogger and create a blog on a topic of your choice, add Google ads to it, and then when someone clicks on the ads you make money. Sound's simple right?

Of course, this scenario could be possible, however, most likely not possible. There's a couple of things missing that would be of great benefit. First of all, you need a product that you know is in demand. Second, you must drive traffic to it. Now, it stands a chance of being a money making blog.

Did I know any of this when I began? No I didn't, so I wasted a lot of time and effort trying to sell something I liked or was 'passionate' about. It's okay to be passionate about something, but it may not be in demand by anyone else and they're the buyers. The bottom line is there needs to be a market for it.

These are simple things, no doubt about it, and many veteran marketers know this stuff, but new comers aka newbies don't know anything about a money making blog. They think like I did, make blogs and the money will come.

Then there's the traffic issue. How in the world do you get people to the blog? You need to think about this and know at least a couple of ways or maybe more. To have a money making blog you will need traffic. No people no money.

The key though isn't just any traffic, but targeted traffic; people who are hungry for your product and will buy it. Where are they and how do you get them? The answer is advertising. You can do it the free way or you can pay for it.

It's possible to have a money making blog and not pay for traffic or advertising, although, it does require time and work. You can write articles and submit them to article directories with a link to your site; this is one of the best ways to get free targeted traffic.

Another way is with the use of forums. You simply join several forums choosing a couple that are relevant to your product. Then join a couple that's make money online focused so you can share ideas and learn new techniques from veteran marketers.
